Piwonia Polonia

Konrad Dubel, a 39-year-old entrepreneur from Poland, developed his passion for peonies during a work vacation in the Netherlands. At the age of 18, he started working at VAK Victory, a plantation specialized in peonies, and that experience laid the foundation for his impressive career in the flower industry.

The peony nursery in the heart of Poland

Konrad’s company is located in the southeast of Poland, in the Lublin Voivodeship. Together with partners from Poland and the Netherlands, he established an impressive peony nursery spanning nearly 30 hectares. This nursery focuses on growing cut flowers, which are shipped to customers all around the world.

An exceptional selection of peonies

From Sarah Bernhardt to Ivory Victory: the diversity and quality that make the difference. The nursery offers an extensive selection of peonies, including: Sarah Bernhardt, Paul M. Wild, Ivory Victory, Moon over Barrington,  Jacorma,  Jacorma Light, Pink Giant, Dr. F.G. Brethour, Glory Hallelujah, Coral Sunset, Ethed Salmon, Duchesse de Nemours, Ann Cousins, Albert Crousse, Dinner Plate

What sets this nursery apart from others is the exceptional diversity of varieties and the high quality of the flowers. One of the most special varieties is the Ivory Victory, a snow-white peony with a large, impressive foam collar, considered a favorite.

An ambitious vision for the future

Konrad’s vision is ambitious: he wants to become the largest grower of peonies and seedlings in Poland, and perhaps even worldwide. He aims to develop a logistics center in Poland that can serve all of Europe and beyond. For Konrad, business is based on trust, collaboration, and respect. He describes his partnerships as building a large family, a value that is central to his business operations.

Strong collaboration as the key to success

One of the greatest strengths of the company is the strong bond between Konrad and his business partners. In Poland, he works closely with Robert, while in the Netherlands, he can rely on Jacob. Together, they form a close-knit team that is ready for any challenge.

Investing in the future

The flower market is steadily growing, and peonies are becoming increasingly popular as cut flowers. To meet this growing demand, the company is currently investing in the construction of a large cold storage facility and a flower processing hall. These facilities will play a crucial role in storing and processing flowers, which is essential for providing customers with the best quality. While these developments require significant financial resources, the team has full confidence in a successful future.

A valuable collaboration

Growing peonies at the level of Konrad is reserved for a select few. This makes the collaboration with My Peony Society not only special but also an enormous enrichment for us. We are incredibly proud of this partnership.
