Miller Flowers

In 2020, Esther and Paul started their nursery in Wervershoof, located next to a characteristic mill on the access road to the village in North Holland. With 2 acres of land under their care, they grow as many as 11 different varieties of peonies.

Deeply rooted passion and a wealth of experience

Driven by a deep-seated passion and a wealth of experience, Esther and Paul embarked on this adventure with some help from their friend Ernst Star. At the nursery, they take care of almost everything. Paul excels in crop protection, while Esther prefers to walk among the fields daily, passionately engaged in her business.

Quality above all, the pursuit of perfection

Quality always comes first at Miller Flowers. As Esther herself says, “What I wouldn’t put in a vase myself, I don’t begrudge someone else.” The right time of cutting is crucial. They wait until the peonies have reached the perfect color and maturity, so they are guaranteed to bloom beautifully. To ensure a continuous supply, the peonies are deliberately planted with an eye toward staggering flowering periods. From early to late varieties, Esther and Paul control everything themselves and also handle the processing of the flowers.

Future prospects

As for the future, Esther and Paul have an open vision. “Who knows, we may expand in the future, but for now we are very satisfied,” Esther said. They strive for innovation and exclusivity, with a focus on adding new, special varieties to their assortment.

Exclusivity in assortment

The following varieties are currently available from Esther and Paul: Carnation Bouquet, Bridal Shower, Brother Chuck, Etched Salmon, Dinner Plate, Madame Claude Tain, Red Charm, Sarah Bernhardt, Ann Cousins, Pink Giant, Glory Hallelujah And as icing on the cake, they welcome their newest addition: White Frost, a beautiful new white variety with a wonderful fragrance.

Miller Flowers is all about passion, quality and dedication, an absolute asset to My Peony Society that we are proud of!
